LUMINOUS Creativity | Saturn in Pisces 1993-1996

Hello, friend. Welcome to GlobalWoman where we talk about creative entrepreneurship, living simply, beautifully, and creatively, circling the calendar wheel, the lunar cycles, and the GlobalWoman Entrepreneur.

Waaaaay back between 1993-1997, I was hanging out in India, immersing myself in the role of being a ‘seeker’.

Oh goddess, did I have fun?

I caught trains that took days (DAYS!!!) to arrive, to sit in endless silence with gurus. All male, by the way. 🙄

To this day, I can still remember the warm, night air, heavy with the scent of jasmine.

India was an eye-opener in so many ways.

  • Heart-opening
  • Full-chakra opening
  • Spirit-opening
  • Sexual-opening (TMI?)
  • Mind-opening

Guess what else was happening at the time I was hanging out in India?

Saturn was in Pisces between May 1993 to April 1996.

India wasn’t all Gurus and Tantra; it was in India that I went to my first astrology class.

By this time, I’d had a few chart readings, but mostly the ‘astrologer’ was reading from a book, telling me about the current transits, which I DID NOT UNDERSTAND AT ALL.

The astrology class in the commune was on another level.

From what I remember, the facilitator led a guided meditation through the planets and luminaries (Sun and Moon), whilst we were encouraged to express our connection with the planet through movement.

Odd, I know.

I was extremely self-conscious back then, and though the room was dark, my inner critic was telling me that I wasn’t doing the dancing right.

But dance I did, even if the whole thing felt majorly WOO-WOO.

BUT…

I was energized, and determined to learn more about Astrology.

So I set forth on my path and the books, classes, teachers, and trainings appeared.

Unbeknownst to me, I was doing the labor of setting free my gifts.

“Work is what we do by the hour. It begins and ends at a specific time and, if possible, we do it for money.

Labor, on the other hand, sets its own pace.

Writing a poem, raising a child, developing a new calculus, resolving a neurosis, and invention in all forms – these are labor.

Labor has its own schedule.”

Lewis Hyde writes in his landmark book ‘The Gift’ that the task of setting free one’s gifts was a recognized labor in the ancient world.

In the 28 or so years since the last Saturn in Pisces transit, I have been doing the work of setting free my gifts and developing my talent.

And now it is time to pass the gift along to you.

On March 14th, 2023, 6 days after Saturn entered Pisces again, I started work on LUMINOUS Wonder – The Age of Creative Renaissance.

215 beautiful pages of tour one-of-a-kind companion to track and embody your Saturn in Pisces Journey, until February 15th, 2026.

So you can get started on setting free your gifts today, luminous friend.
