She wrote against the practice of circumcision, the veil, polygamy, and unequal inheritance law, spending a career confronting exactly the kind of institutions Aries never learned to fear.
Her 1999 memoir, A Daughter of Isis, places Isis at 0° Libra in her own chart. On the day she died, 21 March 2021, the Sun sat at 0° Aries: in direct opposition to that placement. Her life closed on a kind of astrological rhyme.
