Leo season: the roar and purr of the lioness
Leo season is here, baby… hear me purr.
The lowdown
Queen, your reign awaits
When the Sun enters Leo around 23 July, the area of your chart, and your life, ruled by the fiery lion comes into play.
The Sun shines brightly on that part of your life, and it’s time to play on that stage.
Enough hiding under the covers and the crabby Cancer shell. With the Sun shining in Leo, the sign it rules, now is the time to rise and shine.
Grab your most regal, glamorous clothes, add your most sparkling jewels, style your mane and pop your crown on.
The reign
Get your queen on in Leo season
You’re well rested from your self-imposed Cancer season hibernation, and full of exuberance, courage and confidence.
Your personal queendom awaits you to reign in and over. Now is not the time for sitting back and being modest.
Under Leo, you recognise your sovereignty: that you rule over yourself, and that you, and only you, have authority over your life.
A fixed fire sign, Leo is ready to lead with enthusiasm and passion. Leo’s gift is igniting the spark of an idea into a creative project. You see potential, and you have the leadership to bring it to life.
You are your muse.

The affirmation
Leo season affirmation
I shine to serve.
I serve and shine.
Nine questions. Nine muses. Find the one who is showing you the way.
The fact
Leo is Latin for lion
Leo is the fifth sign of the zodiac, named for the constellation Leo, which lies between Cancer the crab to the west and Virgo the maiden to the east.
Leo’s mission is to give you purpose, passion, and glitter.
The chart
Wherever you find Leo in your chart
Wherever you find Leo in your chart, expect to:
Leo’s luminous radiance
Centre stage
Cancer and its ruler, the Moon, are at home being at home. Leo is not having any of that. Leo embodies “all the world’s a stage”, while doing jazz hands. Wherever Leo resides in your chart, in houses, planets, symbols and points, a call for attention, expression and dignity emerges.
Leo keywords:
The ruler
The Sun is the ruler of Leo
Leo is commonly linked to the 5th house and to the Sun which, though not a planet, is one of the two luminaries in the sky. The other is the Moon.
Friend, it’s worth knowing that how Leo expresses itself in your chart and life depends on the house it rules, and on its aspects and placements.
But wherever Leo sits in your chart, expect a desire for attention, passion, playfulness and so much more.
Find your way in the world. Find your roar.
The lioness doesn’t ask permission to take up space. She just does. Which muse is roaring with you?
